Hello FM Faithful!

Nathen Maxwell's gear was stolen!

We need your help! Our own Nathen Maxwell was on a road trip when his car was broken into in Kingman, Arizona and some of his most prized musical equipment was stolen. We're hoping that you, our fans, can help us out by posting the information on your MySpace pages and just keeping an eye out to see if any of this gear turns up. Here is what was taken:

National Resophonic bass guitar - This is a one of a kind left handed bass that is not in production anymore. (I've posted a photo of Nathen in the tribe album that shows the bass).

National bass case that also contained a Highlander IP1X Inline pre-amp and a Korg Toneworks PX3B personal effects processor.

KoAloha Koa wood Concert Ukulele

Ampeg Combo amp

As you can imagine, Nathen is very saddened by this loss, especially of the National bass guitar. If you have any information or see any of this gear around, please send a message to FloggingMolly@villamartists.com

Been luvin' molly for a while now, get to finally see them in action on 3/10 at the Fillmore with a huge group of my rowdy friends. It's kind of a reunion for some of us, a birthday here and there, and a couple anniversaries thrown into the mix (I'm a Murphy, what better way to celebrate??!).

Not everyone took our advice to snatch up tickets when they went on sale and now, big surprise, the show is sold out. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to find a couple more tickets for our wayward friends? I'm checking back with the venue/BGP site every day (we went to the box office, it was their suggestion), I check in on eBay & Craigslist, plus I've combed through about 2 dozen ticket broker sites. Nada. Zippo. Shite!

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

Hellraiser SHANE MacGOWAN is so sick of being famous for his toothless mouth, he's undergoing surgery to convert his gum-revealing smile into a gleaming white one.

The Irish frontman of THE POGUES - whose teeth have been rotted by alcohol and drug excess - was presented with a false set on British TV's THE FRANK SKINNER SHOW last year (04), and he was impressed with his "handsome" appearance once he'd inserted them into his mouth.

And MacGowan has now taken his bid for a better mouth one step further by setting aside the money he recently earned from a Pogues reunion tour to pay for the dental work.

He says, "I'm going to get my teeth fully sorted this year. People seem surprised to hear it but it's something I've wanted to do for ages. In the recent past I never had the money.

"But the cash from The Pogues shows has come through. I put in false teeth on Frank Skinner's chat show and thought I looked rather handsome."
Still, he fucking rocks and they are an amazingly fun band.

There's is currently a petition on www.shanemacgowan.com to remove his current management due to several major blunders in the past few years...if any of you have ever tried to see him in concert you may just understand the problems that plague is management and career...for more info also see the "Foum" on shanemacgowan.com)
(petition text and message from Shane's father below....)

--------

First, the message from Shane's father, Maurince MacGowan, as posted on http://www.shanemacgowan.com/dad.shtml:

"I wholeheartedly support the campaign to remove [Joey] Cashman from his position, whatever that may be, recently Shane has called him P.A. or Tour Manager. I think the time for change has come and Cashman must be removed for change to occur.

Shane is now at best a middle ranking artist (and declining all the time) when he should be up there with the majors. He still has the huge talent that brought him fame. It just needs to be unlocked and a fresh start with a new set up might be the key.

I hope that Shane will bring in an expert (or a team of experts) to look at and eliminate very serious weaknesses in the current set-up in functions such as:

1. Financial Control (in fact there are no financial controls)

2. Gig Management.

3. Tour Management.

4. Administration.

5. P.R. & Publicity.

The recent disastrous decision to cancel the Hellfire dates approximately two weeks after confirmation by Shane personally, and when tickets had been on sale for sometime is symptomatic of some of the weaknesses referred to. It exhibits a breathtaking contempt for the fans (or potential fans) and is bound to limit gig opportunities. It also puts paid to a venture which would probably have led to new material, and certainly new versions of old material, being put out, a development beneficial to both Shane and his fans. I am delighted the fans are showing their teeth and long may they to do so. Boycotting gigs to focus attention on this appalling incident seems an excellent idea.

I hope I will be back to meet the fans again at gigs soon but it will not be before Shane has a new set up - my own personal boycott!"

Maurice MacGowan

Now, the petition on www.shanemacgowan.com reads as follows (and after this I encourage you to go there and sign it (http://www.shanemacgowan.com/petition.shtml):

Dear Shane,

We, your fans, friends, and supporters, would like you to be aware of our feelings. We have noticed that your career has taken a serious turn for the worse in the last few years. We have had to suffer shows being cancelled. We have had to wait, on occasions for 2 hours or more, at venues when you were due on stage. There are times when we have felt ripped off. Yet, we have continued to support you.

We now feel that things have gone too far. We cannot get reliable information from your Official Website regarding your touring, recording, television, and radio work. This is, we understand, down to a total lack of communication between your management and the organisers of the website. Other artists have managers who proactively advise their official website of their professional activities. You do not. Other artists sell officially licensed merchandise through their website and at shows. You do not. All the information we obtain is through our own efforts. We are sick of chasing venues and promoters for confirmation of dates. We are fed up of the way that your organisation treats us.

We think, for the sake of your career, it is time you re-structured your "organisation". Many fans have stopped attending your shows. This pattern is destined to continue unless something changes. It's up to you Shane. Please get yourself the management your undoubted talent deserves.

Go now and sign it!!!!
